Coastal Route Day Tour: Description

Travel along scenically spectacular coastal drives along the Cape Peninsula that snake along the flanks of False Bay, to the seaside resort of Hermanus and the Walker Bay sanctuary, where Southern Right whales come to calve and frolic. (Whale watching season is between June and November.)

The Cape Floral Kingdom is a treasure chest – one of only six floral kingdoms in the entire world – and also the smallest, by far the richest as well as the hottest of the world’s biodiversity hotspots. Get up close to fynbos – the generic name of this ancient vegetation type that’s indigenous to the Cape region.
