The Cradle Boutique Hotel

The Cradle Boutique Hotel

The Cradle Boutique Hotel is less than an hour from Johannesburg.
It’s a unique ecotourism destination boasting three active palaeo-anthropological sites still unearthing both hominid and animal fossils.

The privately owned 9000-hectare site of open grasslands, wooded valleys, and abundant wildlife was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1999 – and reveals stories of the origins of life on our planet billions of years ago and of the evolution of humankind over the last few million years.

The long, wide veranda of the Cradle Restaurant with its panoramic views and breath-taking scenery, provides diners with a 180° view of the game-filled valley and uninterrupted views of the Highveld landscape below the blue, African sky.

It has16 eco-friendly, timber and thatch rooms, raised on stilts to reduce their environmental impact, each with its own private viewing deck.
All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and indulgent guest amenities.
Guests can also enjoy the chemical-free, natural wetland pool in the tranquillity of the nature reserve.
