At the Decanter World Wine Awards South Africa’s Elgin winery, Paul Cluver, received the prestigious Platinum Best in Show award for it’s Seven Flags Chardonnay 2016.
South Africa’s reputation as a world class Chardonnay producer is growing steadily, claiming best in show for two consecutive years, with Demorgenzon Chardonnay picking up the award last year.
Klein Constantia also received a Platinum Best in Show medal for its famed Vin de Constance, making 2017 South Africa’s best year to date.

Another prestigious win this week was Chelsea Flower Show‘s gold medal for South Africa’s stand that depicted the abundance of local flora and the Cape’s unique fynbos. Its theme was aptly called Windows on Biodiversity. Why not see what else they won at the show!
