Celebrate the Cape’s floral beauty.
Spring is in the air. Which means it’s the perfect time to admire, celebrate and learn about the Cape’s wonderful floral bounty.
Taking place in the historic (and recently refurbished) Castle of Good Hope, The Cape Town Flower Show celebrates local culture and community.
Its vision is to become a living legacy through which Cape Town can promote its natural beauty – since it is situated in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Set to become South Africa’s leading flower show, its aim is to artistically display the brilliant diversity of the Cape’s flora; inspire visitors to value their outdoor spaces and environment; provide a platform for the local horticultural industry to promote itself; and showcase the importance of sustaining local biodiversity as a precious natural resource.
If you’re looking to upgrade your gardening skills, you’ll be spoilt for choice with the programme of workshops, ranging from growing mushrooms to colour therapy, biomimicry and much more. There’s even a workshop for kids with very green fingers. And, if workshops aren’t your bag (of fertiliser), then stroll through the show gardens or have a gander at the curated floral displays.
Destined to become a jewel event on Cape Town’s annual festival calendar, the goal of The Cape Town Flower Show is to become integrally associated with Cape Town as a world class destination. Diairize this event!
